Tonight was Carly's first formal Orchestra concert!

The 6th grade beginning strings played rousing renditions of "Hot Cross Buns," "Mary had a Little Lamb," Go Tell Aunt Rodey," and "Are you Sleeping."

Me, being the professional parent, used my fancy new cell phone to take a video of their 5 minutes in the spot light. However, I have not mastered the saving feature, so the video is lost. We will forever remember the first concert fondly. Carly bragged this afternoon that she was first chair. This meant that we got a few good pictures!

Note the "Bite Em Off" sign in the background. Carly explained to me that their football team beat the Lamar Longhorns. See in the sign how the horns of the Longhorn are being bitten off by the Diamondback Rattlers ("D-Backs").
