Surgery & Blessings

Well, today is Monday. YEAH! Broden had his dental surgery on Saturday, and he has been keeping up busy. He was under anesthesia for 65 minutes, and he woke up smoothly. He began talking, and having a conversation with me before he opened his eyes. He was very intelligent in his drugged stupor. He asked by about the details of the IV, describing it as a straw, and talking about the fluid and a little blood that had backed up into the IV. He talked about the doctors being awesome, and he stuck both arms in the air and said, "Yeah! I did it!" There was no crying or fussing.

This surgery was sponsored by Grandma & Grandpa with Mimi, Aunt Jen & Uncle Chad, and our church family. Our bible study class gave us a generous gift, and we bought Broden a new blanket (a surgical tradition in our family). It is Batman, of course. Thank you to everyone! Here is a picture from after the surgery. He kept biting his lips and rubbing his fingers all around his face, and he wanted to have his new Batman blanket with him.
