Easter Festivities Begin!

On Saturday, I took Eva shopping to try and find that perfect Easter dress. You know, the one that is somewhere between casual play dress and never-wear-again-too-fancy-and-expensive. It was a lot of fun, at first. She wouldn't select any dress in any store, but she was willing to try on things behind the closed curtains of dressing rooms. I knew we were in trouble when she completed her first girly twirl and pose in a beautiful $98 dollar white ballerina dress. Why didn't I see that tag before we made it to the dressing room? Then the tables were thrown in the opposite direction when she decided that her favorite was a bubble-gum pink, 100% polyester, tacky rose ruffle across her chest, VERY affordable dress.

Somehow, I convinced her that we just hadn't found the right dress. Then things become more difficult. She only wanted a pretzel, and we made a decision. One more store. Did she prefer the fancy look, or would she rather have something she could wear all summer. She chose "all summer" and we headed to the Kids Gap for our final store. I was surprised at the wide variety of dresses, and she settled on a purple plaid with a beautiful little purple sweater. The best part, they had one that would fit Carly (this later became my nightmare).

We dressed up and headed out to our first Easter Egg Hunt. ENJOY!
